P.S does anyone have any travel tips for me, it will be my first time in Europe…(I am from Massachussetts, USA).
i currently live in Tunisia and speak English French and Arabic fluently..anyway my fiancé works and lives in Italy and we are supposed to get married and stay their for good..I’m worried about finding a job in Italy as an English teacher because my Italian is not good ( by the way I’m taking Italian lessons )

I have an Asian male friend from Italy who speaks fluent Italian. He is teacher over there. When he came to the US to visit he was surprised by the way White American women treated him. He said that he felt they have something against Asian men. Although he treated all White women he met like ladies with common courtesy and respect; they didn’t reciprocate. They were rude to him because he’s Asian. Why were they so hostile to him ? I thought that being Italian is a good thing and the guy is an Italian national with an Italian passport.

I am 17 and a junior in high school. On Tuesday, the Diversity Club of my school began to offer a trip for the summer of 2011 to Italy and Greece. I almost went insane when I heard about this. It sounds like an amazing trip and the itinerary is amazing. I want to go to Italy. I was wondering what the language is like. I am fluent in English and I have been studying Spanish for four years, and I am really good at speaking, writing, reading, and pretty good at understanding (though it’s kind of difficult at times), and I am near fluency honestly. I picked up everything quickly in the language during my second year of study and I learned through classrooms and tons of individual studying (mostly this). Anyway, I was just wondering how difficult would it be to start learning, understanding, speaking, reading, and writing Italian if I have complete comprehension of Spanish grammar? I’ve been told they are pretty similar, but not 100% of course. Each language is different, and obviously I would only have a year and a half to really work on it and no one is that awesome in only a year and a half. So how difficult do you think it would be for me, should I bother, and do you have any tips on where to start?
