Italian Lesson n.15 – The days of the week

I’m sorry if lately I haven’t been able to upload new Italian lessons, but I’ve been busy with my school :) . Anyways, thanks everybody for all your comments and your questions! I’ll try to answer as soon as I can. In this fifteenth lesson we are going to study a basic and useful expression in Italian, that is “What day is today?” “Che giorno è oggi?°. In this fourth lesson you will learn personal subject pronouns and the simple present tense of the verb “to be” (in Italian “essere”). Try to memorize the conjugation of this verb. In this lesson you are going to learn how to ask and tell the time in Italian…you may think it’s hard but it’s not! :) Just watch it again and again until you memorize it :D . Oh be careful at “è” and “e”, they have the same sound but the first one is the third singular person of the verb “essere”, the second one is the conjuction “and”. A special thanks to Ella, alias Erla (no other information avaiable xD) who helped me in that phone conversation (she’s got a very MAMMAMIA! After verbs in -are and -ere here we go with verbs in -ire. They almost have the same endings with the ones in -ere even if you will see that most of verbs of the third conjugation add an -isc- suffix… it’s easy though =P. In the next lessons we will focus more on Italian sentences and expressions ;) . With today’s word of the day we’ve decided to give you two versions of “I don’t know”. Proper italian is “Non lo so”. However, it can also be said “Che ne saccio”. “Boh” is used quite a bit. It basically means, “I don’t know/are you really expecting me to answer that?”. Comments/corrections are encouraged. However, derogatory comments will swiftly bring about a block. Life is to short to deal with assmunches. La vita è troppo breve per trattare coi stronzi. Have a nice day. :D
